Boy Scout Troop 696
This page is dedicated to the dedicated to the men, boys (now men) and their families that made scouting fun in the 70's. Troop 696 was located in the 7th district police station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I had the honor of being their Assistant Scoutmaster forem 1975 - 1978.
During those years I saw many boys pass through our doors, and I hoped that one day I would meet them to see how scouting might have changed their live.On 1/29/05, I had that opportunity. Troop 696 held a reunion with 2 leaders and 11 boys showing up with their families. The scoutmaster and I were thrilled and at times teary eyed when listening to their accounts of their boy years with us and how scouting and sometimes our leadership help mold their lives.
Please enjoy the pictures. Only first names will be used. Those that remember our troop will have no problem matching the names to the faces. Please email me if you would like to contribute to this site or if you have any info regarding any lost members.
Thank you,
BJAY
