136 Combat Support Hospital (CSH)

 136 CSH Crest

        I was a member of the 136 from 1980 - 1991. The 136 was more than just a National Guard unit; it was a family; my family; my brothers and sisters. I say that because in those short years with them I was a part of a group (Motor Pool) that cared for each other and watch over each other like a family would.

        I saw them get married, get separated, been a part of their family affairs and even went to their funerals. It's been many years since I was asked to leave the unit and I still keep in touch with my brothers. You don't have that kind of a relationship with most units, but the 136 is special.

        The unit was deactivated on 14 September 1996, but her spirit lives on today in the people that served in the unit.

 These pages are an on-going tribute dedicated to the people;
that I am proud to call "My Family".
